Abstract
NOVIA, 2019. The Role of Teachers of Hinduism Religion in Forming Hinduism Student Personality of SMA Negeri 1 Kurun, Gunung Mas Regency, The Palangka Raya Hindu Religion Institute of Tampung Penyang (IAHN-TP). Mentor I Komang Suarta, S.Ag.,M.Si. Mentor II Lamri, S.Pd.,M.Pd.H Hinduism Education is one of the subjects that has an important role in improving the character of students. On the other hand Hinduism education is also a subject that has values that are very important in shaping the character of students, where the teachings can be used as a guide in living life in the modern world like now. Thus the formation of students' personalities in schools is inseparable from a teacher, where Hindu Religious Teachers play an important role in shaping the personality of students. By doing religious activities will train students to be people who are responsible, disciplined and have good character, then the role of the Hindu teacher is very strong in order to respond to the willingness of students. If the teacher gives an example in policy and fosters them with noble character and keeps them away from bad morals and disrespectful actions, it will have a big influence on the soul of the student, so the teacher's role will shape the student's personality better. The problem studied is how the role of the teacher of Hinduism in shaping the personality of Hindu students in SMA Negeri 1 Kurun Gunung Mas regency?. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of teachers of Hinduism in shaping the personality of Hindu students in SMA Negeri 1 Kurun, Gunung Mas Regency. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods. the sample in this study were students of class XI and Class XII of SMA Negeri 1 Kurun Gunung Mas regency district as many as 25 students. Data collection techniques carried out using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the percentage formula. Based on the results of this study, the existence of the role of Hinduism teachers in shaping the personality of Hindu students in SMA Negeri 1 Kurun Gunung Mas Regency was based on the perception of 25 respondents, namely: 2213: 3000 x 100% = 73.76% with good categories namely 51% -75%. This means that in this case the proposed hypothesis is acceptable. So in this case it shows that the role of Hinduism teachers is significant in shaping the personality of Hindu students in SMA Negeri 1 Kurun Gunung Mas Regency.
